🏝️ Zu Las Vegas
Begin your trip by flying into LAX, collecting your car and driving straight into Las Vegas (don’t worry, you’ll be returning to LA soon, but what better way to welcome you to America than the entertainment capital of the world?) The drive takes just over five hours, but is a great way to see the changing desert landscape. Another option could be to take public transport (like a Greyhound bus) to Vegas and back, then begin your driving route from LA.
Las Vegas is best known for gambling and partying, but if this isn’t up your street, it also offers:
- Great food, themed restaurants, and stunt food (food items designed to provoke shock and awe)
- Quirky speakeasies
- Immersive art
- Theme park thrills
I recommend a minimum of at least 3-5 days there to get a taster and include an excursion to The Grand Canyon.
A car isn’t needed in Vegas – we walked everywhere, except our coach tour to The Grand Canyon. Everything is more or less in within walking distance, and Uber’s are really budget-friendly.
